With its 11th-century Saxon church, magnificent Tithe Barn and ancient stone bridge, family-friendly Bradford on Avon is one of Wiltshire’s most attractive market towns.

It benefits from having some of the best schools in the county, including the highly acclaimed St Laurence School and sixth form college, and the prestigious Wiltshire Music Centre. The town centre also offers a fantastic mix of boutique shops, charming cafes and walks by the river.

Schools

The well respected Christchurch and Fitzmaurice Junior Schools. Secondary Schools are the highly acclaimed St Lawrence School - including 6th form college. Also Monkton Combe Junior School and a selection of nurseries can be found close by.

Tourist Attractions

The Tithe Barn, Saxon Church of St Lawrence, ancient town bridge, cycling and boating on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Shopping

A choice of independent stores including an excellent delicatessen, renowned cheese shop, florist, chemist, 2 jewellers, a newly opened boutique and several gift shops. Market Day is every Thursday and twice per month is a Farmers Market in Westbury Gardens.

Entertainment

St Lawrence School is renowned for its musical evening and throughout the summer there are a series of soirees in the magnificent setting of Trinity Church and the West Barn.

In addition there are a selection of restaurants, public houses and tearooms within the town centre providing a variety of cuisine. The town also benefits from a leisure centre with swimming pool and a library.
