Our solid reputation
Cobb Farr was established in the heart of Georgian Bath in 1989, with a second office opening in the vibrant market town of Bradford on Avon in 2002. Since then we have built a solid reputation as the leading local independent estate agent.
Most of the Cobb Farr team have been with the company for more than 10 years, and our detailed knowledge of the local property market – combined with our friendly, personal approach – means that we are trusted by our clients to provide an excellent service.

Bath Team
Philip Cobb Managing Director
Philip is Managing Director of Cobb Farr. Before becoming a founding director of Cobb Farr, he worked for Lalonde Brothers & Parham, a major West Country Estate Agency, Philip worked in the Bath office and went on to manage the Chippenham and Swindon offices in particular overseeing the marketing of New Developments. Utilizing this experience alongside managing the residential team, Philip also heads up the successful Land & Development Department at Cobb Farr. Philip is a governor at King Edwards School where his 2 sons attended and is a keen sportsman with rugby his passion and other sports such as tennis and golf he still plays.
Vivienne Hayes Director
Vivienne Hayes is a Director of Cobb Farr and is responsible for leading the Residential Sales teams in both Bath and Bradford on Avon. A former Senior Manager in the cosmetic and fine fragrance industry, Vivienne has a wealth of experience in the sales and marketing of luxury goods. Vivienne has lived in Bath for the last twenty two years, both on the south and north sides of the City. She has two sons who both went to Millfield School that she enjoys watching play cricket and rugby.
Lynette McAlister Land & Development Associate
Lynette is our Land & Development Associate, and has worked for Cobb Farr in their Bath office for over 20 years. Together with Philip Cobb she heads up their Land & Development side of the business, whilst also working closely with Philip as his PA. Lynette is instrumental in the liaison with developers from inception to completion on developments. Prior to joining Cobb Farr Lynette worked for the Chairman and Financial Director of a major house builder having returned from working in the Middle East for many years.
Jenny Draper Lettings Manager
Jenny is our Lettings Manager, based in the Bath office, and with 40 years’ experience of living in the city is well placed to deal with all Cobb Farr’s rental business. A former partner in a local building company for 25 years gives Jenny a good background knowledge when dealing with property and landlord/tenant expectations. Both her children attended schools in Bath, which she is convinced is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. She calls on this depth of local knowledge and experience when letting properties
Jess Goldsmith Sales & Marketing Associate
Jess joined the Bath office in March 2016 as our sales and marketing assistant. Having a broad experience in customer facing roles, Jess understands the needs of our clients, as well as being a very positive and enthusiastic member of the team, she also works closely with Jo Sharp to assist with all sides of the marketing and design. Jess graduated from the University of Exeter and has since lived in the centre of Bath; she is a keen sportswomen and can often be found at Crossfit or hiking across the beautiful countryside surround the area.
Fiona Grove Sales Support
Fiona is based in the Bath office, she assists with the administration, carries out viewings and is a friendly point of contact both on the phone and in person. As a local farmer’s daughter she knows both Bath and Bradford on Avon very well, and has a great passion for the local countryside, in which, as a fitness enthusiast, she can often be found cycling, walking and running.
Caroline McGuffie Sales Negotiator
Caroline has worked in the Bradford on Avon office and has now moved to the Bath office in a part time position. She is a very friendly sales negotiator assisting with administration and viewings. Caroline lives in Bradford on Avon with her two sons who attend a Bath school. Very keen on fitness you will find Caroline mainly at the gym and on her road bike thrashing around the Wiltshire and Somerset countryside with the Bath Rugby Foundation and loves to ski!

Mark Thompson Branch Manager
Mark is the Branch Manager of Cobb Farr’s Bradford on Avon office, having previously been part of the Bath team. As well as his team responsibilities, he performs valuations, viewings and sales negotiations for his clients, and heads up the Land & Development for Bradford on Avon. Having worked within the Estate Agency industry for over 15 years, he previously worked for both independent and corporate agencies and has a confident knowledge of the local residential market. Mark was born in Bath and schooled at King Edwards School, where he played in the first rugby team. He continues to love sport, especially rugby which he still plays, and is a classic car fanatic.
Sarah Selway Senior Sales Associate
Sarah deals with valuations and sales negotiations in Cobb Farr’s Bradford on Avon office. With a wealth of sales experience to call upon from her previous employment within the beauty industry working with key accounts, she appreciates that every customer has different needs, and applies this understanding to all her clients. Having lived in the area for over 15 years she has an intimate knowledge of the homes her hometown has to offer, she is a keen cook and enjoys sailing around the south coast.
Tina Rosling Marketing and Sales Associate
Tina has worked for the Bradford on Avon office since 2003, she is responsible for all the office administration and in a sales support role dealing with clients and aiding sales progression. Prior to joining Cobb Farr Tina worked for Bath renowned high end jewellers Mallorys organising…. She was born and bred in Bradford on Avon and describes her hometown as ‘a very friendly market town surrounded by beautiful countryside’.
Joanne Armstrong Lettings Negotiator
Jo is our Lettings Negotiator in Cobb Farr’s Bradford on Avon office. Jo started her working life with Natwest Bank gaining business knowledge which enabled her to become self employed and owner of a small franchise business. After a career break to raise her two children she worked as a Teaching Assistant at a local Primary School. Having lived in the area for most of her life Jo has a good knowledge of what her hometown and surrounding area has to offer enabling her to provide the best service possible for the tenants and landlords she deals with. As well as enjoying long walks in the surrounding countryside, Jo is an active member of a local Rock Choir and Bradford on Avon Rowing Club.
